About Me

I am a married father of 3 children between the ages of 5 and 10 who believes strongly in family values. We live a few miles outside Portumna, in the South East of Galway - a great place for family life. Ensuring our kids have a safe environment growing up and the opportunity to thrive in Ireland are my priorities as a parent. Most of my adult life, I have worked in sales & marketing and I have held leadership positions in rapidly growing companies in Ireland and in Australia during a three-year stint in Melbourne. In 2005/06, I spent a year living and working in Spain and my work has taken me to the UK, Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden and Denmark. I have travelled extensively through parts of South-East Asia, Australia, New Zealand, South America and Central America.

My third level education includes a First Class Hons. Degree in Business (GMIT), a Masters in Journalism (University of Galway) and a Professional Diploma in Data Analytics (UCD). I believe my experience, education and capacity for problem-solving makes me a very strong candidate to represent the people of East Galway in Dáil Éireann.

I am also Treasurer of the Portumna Camogie Club.

Core values

These are the core values that drive how I operate:

  • Accountability – Everyone in positions of responsibility should be evaluated and answerable on their performance.
  • Authenticity – Being true to yourself regardless of external pressures.
  • Autonomy – The right and the capacity to make informed, uncoerced decisions.
  • Integrity – Being honest and showing strong moral principles and character.
  • Respect – Treating everybody equally regardless of their standing in society. Respect is a two-way street, anything else is reverence, which I don’t do.

If these values resonate with you, I hope that you will vote for me in the Galway East Constituency at the next election.

My Priorities

When elected, my primary focus will be on advocating on behalf of constituents which I believe has been lacking in recent times.

I believe the waste we are seeing in public spending will disproportionately affect the West as we tend to be down the pecking order when it comes to distribution of public funds. Waste means we lose out. There is a radical need for investment in infrastructure in the west
